How do the dreams we have and everything we love guide us to where we want to go?

 

On Thursday the 9th of March 2017 at 19:00, we meet again at the Communal Theatre of Rhodes for the film screening of the movie “Leaps and Bounds”. The event is part of the cultural exhibitions for children and adults organized within the framework of the intercultural informal educational program “Ani-Mate & Meet the Other”. An awarded movie by Petter Næss about the refugees' problems through the eyes of a boy in Europe.

 

A few words about the movie, recommended for children over 9 years old:

 

Azad arrives accidentaly to Sweden with his brother Tigris. Suddenly, they find themselves alone in a foreign country without understanding the lenguage and trying to get adapted while pretending/feigning of being children of another family.

 

The only escapes for Azad become the occupation with his beloved high jump and with the new friends he makes. A movie about the refugees' problems in Europe and the power of togetherness, friendship and personal willing.

 

In times where we fill that everything is lost, to believe in what reflect us and to have faith is maybe the way to achieve what each one of us defines as happiness.
